Author-Illustrator Visits
A time to celebrate the love of language and art.
The students and faculty of OLP have been thrilled to host highly respected authors and illustrators.
An author/illustrator visit usually consists of three, grade level appropriate, sessions where the artist shares their background, process, and work and answers students' questions. Each session is followed by autographing. The author/illustrator also shares lunch with a small group of students who have chosen a theme, from one of the artist's books, and prepared the food and decorations. The luncheon provides an additional opportunity for sharing and open discussion.
