Welcome to the Grade Seven Webpage!

Welcome to the 7th grade classroom at Our Lady of Peace. This is my eighth year here and it has been an awesome adventure.  I teach math to all junior high students (6-8), science to 6th, and health, reading, and religion to 7th.

I grew up in upstate New York (Cohoes), and lived there until August 2003 when I moved here to Columbus due to relocation of my wife Kathy's job at State Farm.  I have earned a BA in Mathematics from the University at Albany, NY and a Master's of Education from Ashland University. I have a terrific wife of 26+ years and four children ages 33, 26, 19, and 18.

The seventh graders will be going to the Holy Family Soup Kitchen on the last Thursday of each month beginning in September.  This is a wonderful opportunity to really start understanding what "service," and "humility" are! The DARE program with Deputy Boyd will probably begin in January and culminate with a graduation ceremony in March or April. Finally, they will be going to Lutheran Memorial Camp for Environmental Conservation camp on Sept. 29th - Oct. 1st. Parent chaperones and parent instructors are encouraged to come and share their talents with us.

Hope all my colleagues and students have a terrific school year.. You are all wonderful people and work hard every day! Keep up the good work, and remember, "God doesn't give us anymore than we can handle each and every day!"
